The Weekly Planner

Overview

See how the planner works and what you can do with it.

Copy last week’s to-dos, cross off what’s finished, and plan what’s next. If you keep your weekly plan in a notebook, a notes app, or on the fridge, this probably sounds familiar. Then there’s the back-and-forth to remind everyone at home who’s picking up the groceries and what time ballet starts.

I wanted to make this a little easier, so I created the Weekly Planner. Set it up once, then come back to the same place each week to plan errands, classes and family time, check things off, and look back on your week. Anyone you share it with can add to it whenever it works for them, and everyone can see the latest plan without needing to be in the same room.

What can you do with it?

  • Plan together with family or friends
  • Organize tasks by category and person
  • Plan each day by morning, afternoon and evening
  • Give each day a focus, like a midweek check or a tidy-up day
  • See what’s not started, in progress, and done
  • Keep one list for the week and star the 3 that matter most
  • Carry unfinished tasks into the next week
  • Get a summary of your week
  • Look back at previous weeks
  • Export and reopen your plan

Printable and download bundle

Prefer paper? A printable pack is on the way: 14 undated pages in A4 and US Letter, with a focus for each day, a plan-the-week page, a monthly to-do list, a week at a glance, daily pages and a weekly review. A bundle will also include a copy of the planner you can open in your own browser.

Four pages from the printable pack: the cover, plan the week, a Monday page and the weekly review

Want to try it?

The planner lives in a private, shared space for the people I plan with. If you’d like to see it in action or adapt it for your own week, I’d be happy to hear from you.
